It’s a complaint we hear all the time at Climate Control Company: uneven heating or cooling, a room or area that’s either too cold or too hot.
If that’s a problem for you, then call us to talk about one of the best solutions—ductless mini split heat pumps. They can add cooling or heating to a particular location in your home without having to add any ductwork.
One outdoor condenser can be connected to as many as four indoor air handlers. Each one of those indoor units can be set to a different temperature allowing great flexibility depending on personal preference.
Another big advantage of ductless mini split heat pumps is the ease of installation of these systems. Because there’s no ductwork, all that’s required is a three-inch hole to connect the air handler to the outside condenser. You can also hide the outdoor condenser behind landscaping or even behind the house, up to 50-feet away from the indoor units.
A ductless system is also a more efficient system. A typical central HVAC system can lose as much as 30% of its heating and cooling capacity as the air moves through the ducts, before it even gets into the living areas of your home.
The mini splits are also a great companion to in-floor radiant heating. Since no ductwork is required, it’s an easy way to cool the house without a complicated installation.
No matter what type of project you’re considering, there is a mini split system that can make it easier. If you’re remodeling and turning a garage, attic, or basement into living space, it’s a fantastic way to heat AND cool those areas that may not be connected to your current central system.
